Since I’m a mom (and a very young, cool “mimi”), whenever I shop for a vehicle, safety is my number one priority. My favorite site online to research potentials rides is Cars.com. I can look for cars in my area and also read up on the specs. I want to check out every review I can before I make the decision on what to purchase. I want reviews from real people who are like me, not some commercial ad telling me which car I need to buy.
Safety isn’t my only concern, however. I also wantto make sure I’m getting a vehicle that gets the best mpg. I’m willing to sacrifice a little mpg, if the safety rating is superb. Another thing that I look for, if I’m thinking about buying a preowned vehicle is the number of miles that’s on it. I don’t want to buy something that’s only going to run for another week or so. I also would rather purchase a used car that is precertified. I know that it’s been checked out and that everything is working as it should.
I also make sure to research vehicles so I don’t get stuck with something that’s a hunk of junk. The state I live in has no “lemon laws” so once I purchase a vehicle, it’s not that easy to take it back to the dealership. And if I buy it from an individual, I might as well not even think about getting my money back.
If you follow these tips, you should be able to find the car that suits your needs. They have always worked for me! Happy car shopping!
