I have watched so many zombie and quarantine movies but I never thought I’d end up in one..Well at least a quarantine one. I’m just thankful we don’t have zombies. That would NOT be fun. I have been social distancing except when I have to go to the grocery store. I have a household of 8 so it’s kind of hard to not have to go shopping at least once a week. My husband is still working. He is considered “essential” because he has to work on the communications part of the infrastructure of essential businesses. He’s basically a Tech Engineer. I don’t like the fact that he has to go out,but I feel we are blessed that he still has a job. At least in his job, he doesn’t have to be around a large group of people.
I don’t think a whole lot has changed around my house. I’m an introvert and stay home a lot anyway. It’s just different when you HAVE to stay home as opposed to CHOOSING to stay home. I don’t know why everyone is calling for a lockdown on the state though. Most everything is closed. I think the only places left open are essential places like grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants. I guess the “lockdown” is to prevent large groups of people getting together for parties and things like that. I mean, honestly a lock down wouldn’t affect me that much.
I am glad I live in a rural area because at least I can go outside without some nosy neighbor wondering what I’m doing outside my house. My closest neighbor is at least 1/4 mile away. I haven’t been to see my parents in about 2 weeks though. My sister just had a baby and I haven’t seen her in the same amount of time. It sucks.
Also, I need to learn not to eat allll the snacks in the house. I think I’ve gained 10 lbs since all of this started. I am a stress eater and this mess has me soooo stressed out. So I’m trying to find ways to destress that don’t include food.
So how’s every one else doing with this whole “quarantine” thing? Let me know in the comments!
