Nutrisystem Kickstart

*this post is not sponsored by Nutrisystem.

I have gained a bit of weight since this whole virus fiasco. I started weight training a couple of weeks ago. Nothing too crazy, just a few exercises to firm up my muscles. I’ve been doing that about 3 days a week. I’m going to start doing cardio a few days a week also.

I know that working out isn’t the only key to losing weight. I bought one of the Nutrisystem Kickstart meals from Walmart yesterday. I would love to go all out and order Nutrisystem from the website but that gets a bit pricey. Besides I want to see how I like the food first.

For breakfast I had the Peanut Butter Granola Bar. Surprisingly it was tasty and filling. I drank a couple of glasses of water that seemed to hold me over until lunch.

For lunch I had the Spicy Kung Pao Noodles. It was more or less like ramen noodles. The taste was ok, nothing special. I’d eat it again though.

I ate the Nacho puffs as my afternoon snack. They look like tiny cheeseballs but have a lighter flavor to them. I was surprised at how many were in the package.

I decided to eat dinner around 5. I had the Rotini and Meatballs which was surprisingly very good. Of course it would have been even better with some garlic bread but I’m trying to stick with the actual meal plan. I am allowed 4 servings of non starchy vegetables a day. I may save those for later in case I get hungry.

So far, the food is good and filling. There are a few entrees that I’m not crazy about such as the turkey and dressing and macaroni and turkey sausage. I haven’t eaten them yet, I’m just not crazy about turkey LOL. Maybe I can just ditch the turkey and substitute it for another protein. I don’t know.

Has anyone else tried Nutrisystem and had success with it? Let me know in the comments.
