I love facebook,I do. It’s the main way I keep up with family and friends. However, there are a few things I wish people would stop doing. Some of these I’ve done in the past and realized how annoying it was in retrospect, so I don’t do them anymore.
1. Stop whining about people so much on facebook, especially using vague status updates. We know you are talking about someone on your friend list. So either a.) talk to them about whatever issue you have with them or b.) delete them from your friend list if they annoy you that much.
2. Starting arguments on someone’s post (yes, this means photos too). If you don’t like what they are saying then just keep scrolling. And of course, you also have the option of unfollowing them (without unfriending) if they offend you that much.
3. Unless you are going to post recipes, no one cares about what you are having for supper. So you don’t have to post your menu every single night. I know you do far more than look forward to supper every night, at least, I hope so LOL
4. You don’t have to post a million selfies a day. I assure you, no one has forgotten what you look like. A selfie a day isn’t even that annoying, but more than that just looks like you are fishing for compliments.
Let me just say, for the record, I have at least done the first one. I used to whine on facebook a lot until I realized how annoying I sounded. Now, I try to keep the complaining to a minimum and post funny stuff. That’s much more appealing than constantly complaining about how much people suck. I know this is a short list, so if you have any you’d like to add, please let me know in the comments.
If you’ve heard about sittercity, you know it’s a babysitting website.

Ha! I still haven’t figured out the whole food thing. What is that truly about? Do they want me to know they are eating steak while I moan over my pancakes? Can’t wrap my mind around it. My first visit here! Thanks!

All the political posts on Facebook drive me crazy. I have a few friends that drive me insane because they are always griping about something political. I have to hide them on my feed. ๐

Lololol!! U r sooo right!! All the close up car selfies and the posts of every details of someones intimate thoughts and dinner plans are just too much! Im glad they have the hide from news feed option ๐
How much time do you have ? How about… don’t post Bible versus and speak as if you are holier than thou and then talk about the wild night you had or openly make fun of someone you saw at the bar on FB. OH and… I’m tired of seeing big bellies on FB… If you are going to sell body wraps or Plexus Slim.. i understand you want to sell sell sell.. but please cover up your clients before and after guts.. this girl is not interested.. I don’t even like seeing my naked gut!
I couldn’t stop laughing as I read this. I think all of that every time I log-in on Facebook. Some people take advantage of publicizing their woes — sigh. Awesome post.

Don’t bring your relationship problems to all your FB friends! No wonder your relationship sucks.
Did you ever notice that that the same people who take the 12 selfies a week are the same people who post vague “poor me” comments?

Too funny. I just posted about annoying things people post on Facebook as well, although mine covered more “oversharing” than anything. I really like your list. The obvious attention-seeking posts drive me CRAZY!

Wow, I have to tip my hat off to this post. Sometimes I dread even coming on because of all the above mentioned. I am a positive person and I respect everyone’s space and views but geez!
Ha! 1 and 4 are my biggest gripes with people on facebook. Fishing for compliments, fishing for sympathy, etc. Visiting from SGBC.

Yes a thousand times! I never understand why people use FB to vent everything and over share. That’s what private groups are for, IMO
I was like number 1 too.. a long long time ago and learned my lesson in a hard way, now I always try to keep my fingers off my keyboard when I feel bad ๐
