I had the privilege to work with Milo’s and review some of their yummy drinks. I tried the Decaf Sweet Tea, Sweet Tea with Lemonade, and Lemonade.
I am a born and raised southern girl so I’m very picky about my sweet tea. I normally don’t like it unless it’s homemade. And while that’s still my preference, Milo’s is a very good substitute. I would pick it over any of the other teas that are sold in stores. I am not sure I have a favorite out of the three flavors I tried. It just depends on the mood I’m in. I really liked the lemonade though because it wasn’t too strong or too light. It was somewhere in the middle and that’s what I liked about it. The Decaf tea still had all the flavor of regular tea. And the Sweet Tea with lemonade definitely tasted unique.
I would buy all three flavors and happily serve them to my family. They also have 3 flavors that I did not try and those are the Famous Sweat Tea, Unsweet Tea, and No Calorie Sweet Tea. Milo’s products can be found in Walmart stores everywhere (including Mississippi). Here’s a store locator so you can find Milos near you: http://drinkmilos.com/product-locator/ .
disclosure: I received samples from Milo’s but all opinions are my own.
When I decided to home school my youngest, Trey, a year ago, I had no clue where to begin. I knew that textbook curriculum could be very expensive. And besides that, my son is a computer person anyway, so I didn’t think he’d get anything out of using textbooks anyway. I did some research and found Time4learning. It was perfect for Trey.
I like the fact that I can switch between 3 grade levels. So if he isn’t getting one concept, I can go back and work with him until he does. Or if he is excelling in something, I can move him up a grade level. Of course, if you ask Trey what his favorite part of Time4learning is, he’ll say “The Playground”. What he doesn’t realize is that he’s actually learning while he’s playing.
Time4learning has recently started offering high school courses. My daughter is in middle school right now and is using another curriculum, however, she will probably switch to Time4learning next year. I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for a budget friendly way to homeschool their kids.
Minted is a site that offers stationary, announcements, party decor, business cards, art prints and much more. Pretty much if it can be printed on paper, Minted.com has it. I am especially impressed with the baby shower invitations and the birth announcements. All of the designs look so original and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The prices are very reasonable also. There are so many different choices that I would have a difficult time choosing just one. I will have to say that this one is my favorite though:
I love the “mommy calling cards” also. I never thought of that idea when my kids were little. Basically, it’s a business card for moms. I am sure it would be handy to have to exchange at playdates. That way the other parents would have your contact info so that they could get in touch with you to schedule playdates. It would also be ideal to give to childcare providers so they could contact you if needed. My kids are all older, but it would be good to exchange with their friends parents so they would have my number in case they needed to call me for any reason.
I’m also an aspiring photographer so I am looking into getting some business cards printed. I am really impressed with all of the different styles that Minted offers. They are all so unique and would definitely help me to get noticed. It’s going to take me awhile to decide which design I like best. I may have to get my kids to vote on the ones they like best. I also like the fact that they offer free samples so you can see the product before you decide to invest in it. There’s just so much to choose from on there. I have spent a good bit of time browsing on minted.com and I still haven’t had a chance to look at everything. I have a a feeling it’s going to be one of my new favorite sites :D.
Disclosure: I received store credit for posting this review about minted.com, however all opinions are my own.
Upon first looking at the product, it doesn’t look like very much. However, I discovered that a little goes a long way with this product. I had a few blemishes when I received the product and I am very happy with the way that the concealer hid them. It looked very natural, not like I was trying to conceal anything at all. It is a mineral makeup so it goes on very light weight and has a smooth, non greasy finish. This concealer is paraben free and contains apple extracts. This is definitely a product I would recommend!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
